Jonathan must go-Gov Oshiomhole Speaks

Oshiomhole NL Why Jonathan’s Administration Must Go – Gov Oshiomhole Speaks

Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state yesterday declared that the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has killed many Edo indigenes due to the alleged refusal by the President to give ecological funds to areas devastated by erosion in the state and many other APC states.

He regretted that the President would play partisan politics with the lives of Nigerians and Edo people in particularly despite the 95 per cent votes he enjoyed in the state in 2011, vowing that the President and his party the PDP, would be voted out come 2015. Oshiomhole also lampooned the Federal government austerity measures due to fallen prices oil, querying that “ what did they do with our money when oil was N108 per barrel. They said we should tighten our belt but they gave us no belt, that is anti people”.

The Governor declare this at the traditional Urhokpota Ground Ring Road Benin City, where he received the former Minister of State for Works and PDP Chieftain, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and over two thousand of his supporters into the APC. About 20 palace chiefs led by Chief Jackson Igbinoba, and different PDP groups one of them led by Chief Arala Osula, dumped the party for the APC.

Ogiemwonyi said he decided to dump the PDP after what he described as the failure of the PDP to fix both the economic, security and other problems bedevilling the nation. He added that Governor Oshiomhole’s developmental strides in Edo state and the achievement of other APC governors convinced him that APC means well for the Edo people and Nigerians in general.
Oshiomhole who received the decampees into the party gave reasons why Nigerians must vote the PDP led Federal government out. His words, “What is buried in the name of PDP can never resurrect because the Bible says, he who die in sin shall perish and languish in hell. And because PDP died in sin, they killed, they embezzled our money, they dehumanized our people, they enveloped Benin with flood, converted our young one to prostitution and reduced Edo from the heart beat to a part of the country that was now remember only by reference to very negative headlines.
“ It will take PDP more than a hundred years to pay reparation to Edo people. If anybody imagine what has happened in this state for six years, then you can better calculate how much they stole from the treasury of this state and how many miles they set up backwards in terms of where were are supposed to be. And that is why when the President came here to say that Edo will fall, I said well who is speaking. Can a man who is on the ground speak to a man who is on his feet?
“ PDP has already been fallen and buried in Edo state many many years ago. Yes in the last election we asked our people to vote on the basic of certain sentiments, and the PDP at the Presidential level won 95 per cent of the votes. But now Edo people are asking, what do we have to show for it. The erosion caused by PDP at Queen Ede has destroyed the schools built for Edo child. That erosion is destroying the Catholic Church, it has destroyed several houses, killed many of our people.
“ Federal PDP shared money to PDP states including states where the President lost election, they did not give one dim to the people of Edo state. Our crime because we voted wrongly. In Auchi, erosion have swept away more then 50 per cent of the houses and swept away others, they shared the ecology money they gave no dim to the people of Auchi. In Esan Central and West, erosion has destroyed a number of communities, PDP produced leaders in Esan land they did not bring one dime to deal with erosion in Esan land, but they gave money to Delta, they gave money to Bayelsa, they gave money to Cross River, they gave money to Niger, Jigawa, Kaduna and others.
“ What is our offence because we voted wrongly? So when we say APC, Change PDP, Change Jonathan it is informed by evidence. We must change both the party and the driver. PDP has failed for sixteen years they should leave.
“And let me be very specific, if we had not removed PDP in Edo we wold not have experienced the change we are seeing today in Edo. If we remove PDP from Abuja the way we removed them from Edo we will have power, universities will not be closing for six months, they will not be distributing SURE-P through PDP leaders, they will not be devaluing the currency and they will not be acting like small gods” he asserted.

Another bomb blast again-Over 200 Killed In The Bomb Blast At Kano Central Mosque Yesterday

120 killed in mosque bomb explosions 360x225 Over 200 Killed In The Bomb Blast At Kano Central Mosque Yesterday

Over 200 people were reportedly killed in the bomb blast that occurred yesterday afternoon at the Kano Central Mosque where the Emir of Kano usually leads prayers. Some eye-witnesses and rescue officials put the figure at 300, making it one the deadliest bomb attacks in Nigeria.

According to eyewitnesses, three bombs went off one after the other at the 10,000 capacity Mosque during the Friday Jumat prayers. Two went off inside the Mosque, and one outside. And when people tried to flee the scene, gun men opened fire on worshipers. Many of the casualties were children who couldn’t run as fast. Some were trampled to death in the mayhem that ensued.

When normalcy returned hours after the attack, the dead and wounded, said to be over 250, were taken to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital and the Nasarawa Hospital.

The Emir of Kano was out of the country when the incident occurred. He’d left the night before.

President Jonathan also cancelled his meeting with Nigerians entertainers at the Creative Industry event last night because of the blast.

the world's most stylish brides-From the Duchess of Cambridge to Grace Kelly and Victoria Beckham

A survey carried out by Conde Nast Brides has listed the most popular celebrity wedding gowns and Grace Kelly topped the list as the most stylish bride of all time.

The late actress-turned-princess didn’t have a big designer name to make her dress, but instead had a dress made by Helen Rose, a costume maker in the film industry. Grace Kelly's classic lace design is followed by gowns worn by Duchess of Cambridge, Victoria Beckham, Salma Hayek and Princess Diana.

Duchess Kate is second on the list, who at the Royal Wedding to Prince William in 2011 wore a stunning white gown by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen reminiscent of Grace Kelly's iconic gown. Singer-turned-designer Beckham, who wore a Vera Wang number with a gold and diamond tiara when she married footballer David in 1999, is fourth.

Elizabeth Taylor made it into the list twice. The late British-American actress takes the fifth place for the gown she wore for her first (of seven) wedding to hotel heir Conrad Hilton in 1950, and 15th place for her third marriage to film producer Mike Todd in 1957.

The top 20 also features Carolyn Bassette, Mia Farrow, Princess Diana of Wales, Madonna, Katie Holmes, Priscilla Presley and Princess Anne. Kate Moss with her new husband Jamie Hince pose with bridesmaids after their wedding

Surprisingly, British supermodel Kate Moss, who wore  a John Galliano vintage-inspired dress, didn’t make it to top of the list, nor did newly-wed Kim Kardashian who wore a Givenchy number designed by Ricardo Tisci for her marriage to Kanye West.

Obasanjo condems National Assembly, says it’s an assembly of thieves, looters

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, today Nov. 26th rubbished the National Assembly, saying it is an Assembly of looters and thieves. He said this while speaking at the public presentation of the autobiography of Justice Mustapha Akanbi, in Abuja. Some of what he said below...
"Apart from shrouding the remunerations of the National Assembly in opaqueness and without transparency, they indulge in extorting MONEY from departments, contractors and ministries in two ways"
"They do so during visits to their projects and programmes and in the process of budget approval when they build up budgets for ministries and departments, who agree to give it back to them in contracts that they do not execute. They do similar things during their inquiries.”
"Corruption in the National Assembly also includes what they call constituency projects which they give to their agents to execute but invariably, full payment is made with little or no job done. In all this, if the executive is not absolutely above board, the offending members of the National Assembly resort to subtle or open threat, intimidation and blackmail. When the executive pay the huge MONEY, normally in millions of dollars, all is quiet in form of whitewashed reports that fail to deal effectively with the issues investigated.”
"When the guard is the thief, only God can keep the house safe and secure. But I am optimistic that sooner than later, we will overcome. God will give us guards of integrity and honesty with the fear of God and genuine love of their people and their country.
“Today, there is no institution of government that is not riddled with corruption, not even the military. As the people cry out, where then is the salvation.” Obasanjo said

Jordin Sparks disses ex boyfriend Jason Derulo in new song, How Bout Now

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo broke up in September after dating for almost three years and even though they say it was an amicable split, Jordin still seems bitter about it. She released a new song yesterday titled How Bout Now, where she kinda dissed Jason. In the track, she sings;
"Remember when you broke your neck and I had to wash your back for you?" (Jason broke his neck during dance practice in 2012)
"You thought you had it all figured out back then, boy how bout now? 'Cuz I'm up right now, and you suck right now"
"Always been mom's little angel / but once you blew up head got big and you started changing / Can't believe all the things you started saying / Like I'm with you for your fame and your name, what?

Parents please be careful!!!

A woman simply identified as eleha (woman in purdah) last Tuesday November 18, 2014 disappeared with 4 kids at a neighbourhood home lesson in Idi-Omo area of Ibadan, Oyo State. And according to Tribune, the children are yet to be found till the writing of this report today.

The four missing children, whose names were given as Abdulsalam Aderibigbe, Abigail Adegunju, Chidiebere and Onyiyechukwu were reportedly taken away by the eleha who disguised as someone in need of an EMPLOYMENT. She struck within 30 minutes of starting her job as a lesson assistant.

The 33-year-old proprietress of  Mrs Kafayat Olatubosun, has described the incident which led to the disappearance of the four pupils in her care as one that is like a devil stalking her, after which he crept in and struck.

According to Mrs Olatunbosun who is nursing a 14-month-old baby and is currently kept in protective custody at State Criminal Investigation, Iyaganku, Ibadan:
“I started operating a neighbourhood lesson for children at Sagbolada Compound, Idi Omo, Ibadan in 2009. I rented a space in the compound and I pay N500 monthly for it. I have about 35 pupils between the ages of one-and-half and three. Sometimes, primary school pupils sent home from their schools because of non-payment of fees are brought by their parents so that there would be no vacuum in their academic lives. I collect N20 daily for each child and the lesson hours are between 8a.m. and 1p.m.”
The National Teachers Institution (NTI) certificate holder and mother of three spoke further:
“I had been working alone all the years, with regular assistance from my husband and a few elderly women staying within and around the lesson. Whenever I wanted to move round to pick children from their homes, my husband would stay with the ones already in class. Same would happen in the afternoon until the last child had been taken home. Whenever he was busy in the shop where he works as a lotto agent, the women who were like my in-laws would assist me.
The woman who did this evil work (kidnapping) had been coming when I was still pregnant with the 14-month-old baby I am nursing. She kept pestering me that she wanted to work with me but I told her that I did not need assistance.
About a month after I resumed work, having spent 41 days at home after delivery, she came again and I still insisted that I did not need an assistant. She told me that she wanted to leave where she was working because she was being owed salary. I replied that I would not a similar situation to occur in our relationship because the children were enough to take care of my own needs.
I told her that I would like to inform my husband which I did by calling him. But he could not come because he was busy in his office. The woman told me she would come back the following day. The following morning, when I got to the lesson, at a little after 8a.m., I met the woman waiting for me.
Shortly after, my husband came and saw her too. I said I would be paying her N3,000 monthly and she agreed. My husband left for his office and I decided to make the rounds to pick my pupils.
I went the first round to pick the children and I met the lady on my return. I went the second round and still met her. Even some parents who brought their children themselves saw her.
It was on my return after the third round that she was no longer around. I also noticed that one of the children, Abdusalam, was missing. I shouted and the elderly women around came. I quickly called my husband on the phone and he came. I met one of the parents who just brought her child in and she said she did not meet anyone.
That was how we noticed that Abigail, Samson, Chidiebere and Onyiyechukwu were also missing. The last two children are siblings Samson, who is three years old later walked back to us.”
When asked if she could identify the woman, Mrs Olatunbosun replied that she could.

Crime Reports learnt that the Idi Omo neighbourhood was immediately thrown into confusion as residents, especially the youths and parents of the missing pupils, started searching for the woman and the children. The mother of two of the missing children who are sisters was reported to have collapsed immediately and had since been on admission. The older of her two kids is three.

But the police image maker in Oyo State, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor said that Commissioner of Police, Kola Shodipo has put his men on their toes to unravel the identity of the woman, with a view to arresting her

If you cajole someone to make get sexual gratification new law makes it considered rape

I know some men will find this ridiculous but it's a bill being introduced by a male lawmaker in NJ. It's called 'sexual assault by fraud' and if passed, I'm sure a lot of men & women will be charged...lol.

Find the report from nj.com below
Imagine this: A man woos a woman to bed with tales of his riches, fast cars and a vacation home in Monaco. But he actually lives in his mother’s basement.
Or this: A seemingly wealthy widow convinces a younger man to sleep with her on the notion that they may marry and he’ll inherit her money. In reality, she’s broke.
In both cases, someone lied about his or her status in order to have sex with someone else. Under a bill recently proposed by a south Jersey lawmaker, such actions would not only be considered dishonest. They could prompt charges of rape.
Earlier this month, state Assemblyman Troy Singleton (D-Burlington) introduced the bill (A3908), which would create the crime of “sexual assault by fraud,” which it defines as “an act of sexual penetration to which a person has given consent because the actor has misrepresented the purpose of the act or has represented he is someone he is not.”

Singleton decided to introduce the legislation after talking to Florence resident Mischele Lewis, who had been duped into paying $5,000 to her boyfriend, Cherry Hill resident William Allen Jordan, for what he claimed was a security clearance. Jordan said he was a British military official, but it turned out he was a serial bigamist and scam artist who pleaded guilty to defrauding Lewis on Nov. 10.
Prosecutors had initially tried to charge Jordan with sexual assault by coercion, but a grand jury refused to indict him on that charge.

“I truly believe that we have to look at the issue of rape as more than sexual contact without consent,” Singleton said. “Fraud invalidates any semblance of consent just as forcible sexual contact does. This legislation is designed to provide our state's judiciary with another tool to assess situations where this occurs and potentially provide a legal remedy to those circumstances.”

As written, the bill doesn’t consider sexual assault by fraud any less serious than other types of sexual assault that are already on the books. It could be a first degree or second degree crime depending on “the circumstances surrounding the act,” punishable with 10 to 20 years in prison in the former and 5 to 10 years in prison in the latter.
"The punishment aspect, that part we didn’t touch. The prosecutors and the judges and the jurors would be able to use discretion,” Singleton said.

Singleton said that he’s open to refining the bill so it’s not abused.

“It’s my intention, as the bill is moved through the amendment process, to ensure that while we allow for judicial discretion we don’t want unintended consequences,” he said.

The issue of “rape-by-fraud" is the subject of a new book by New York City resident Joyce M. Short, who said she married a man who lied about his age, marital status, education and military service, among other things.

_MG_7333.jpgJoyce M. Short is the author of "Carnal Abuse by Deceit: How a Predator's Lies Became Rape"/

Short, who has met with Lewis, said, “(Jordan) hadn’t threatened her. Quite the contrary. He had seduced her. But he had seduced her through a hoax, through a fraudulent means. And just like Bernie Madoff is in prison because he stole money from people by defrauding them, someone can vitiate your knowing consent by defrauding you in order to have sex.”

Short said that one of the main objections people have to the idea of sexual assault by fraud is equating it with violent sexual assault.

“My response to that is there are many ways to sexually assault a person. Violence is one of them. And there are no words that can come to relating the horrible violation of a person when that happens to them,” Short said. “But we should not look asunder. We should not simply cast away the concept that people are defrauded of sex.”

According to a memo by the Office of Legislative Services written at Singleton’s request, at least five states — Tennessee, Alabama, California, Colorado and Montana — have some sort of crime for sex by fraud. In Alabama, it’s a lesser offense than rape.

Alan Zegas — a prominent New Jersey criminal defense attorney who has represented many defendants accused of sexual assault — said the Singleton’s bill is far too broad and probably would not survive a constitutional challenge.

“What if a man were to say to a woman ‘I love you’ and engage in sex and he really didn’t love her? It could be as simple as that,” Zegas said. “The definition is so broad that it doesn’t put the citizens of the state on fair notice of what it is that constitutes the crime.”

Yale Law Professor Jed Rubenfeld in a 2013 article for the Yale Law Journal said that “’Rape-by-deception’ is almost universally rejected in American criminal law,” but that it shouldn’t be because “courts have held for a hundred years in virtually every area of the law outside of rape, a consent procured through deception is no consent at all.”

Rubenfeld said that in many states that do have statutes on rape by fraud, it’s only if the perpetrator impersonates the victim’s spouse or dupes the victim into having sex for medical reasons. But Rubenfeld said that’s because the case law is based on an outdated definition of rape that wasn’t really about the victim’s consent, but about her virtue.

“Rape law’s exclusion of almost all sex-by-deception claims followed from the fact that in such cases the woman had willingly had non-marital sex. Though deceived, she had willingly surrendered her virtue and thus could not claim rape,’” Rubenfeld wrote.

Copy Cat; Chinese car company unveils $22,000 copy of Range Rover

Nothing wey China no fit copy...lol. UK giant car company Jaguar Land Rover is furious after a relatively unknown Chinese car company called LandWind unveiled a car that looked almost exactly like the Range Rover E-vogue which at $22,000 cost $48,000 less than the Evogue which is about $70,000. Above is the Evogue and below is the Chinese car. It was launched at a motor show in China last week. Continue...

Jaguar Land Rover say they may take legal action against the company. Jaguar Land Rover chief executive Dr Ralf Speth told Autocar magazine:
‘The fact that this kind of copying is ongoing in China is very disappointing. The intellectual property (IP) is owned by Jaguar Land Rover and if you break that IP then you are in breach of international regulations.’

Nyanya Bomb Blast: Court Frees Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche

A federal court in Abuja has freed Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, the suspected mastermind of the Nyanya bomb attack in Abuja.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the court struck out a two-count terrorism charge against Mr. Ogwuche for want of diligent prosecution, after months of trial for the April 2014 attack which killed more than 70 people. Ogwuche was repatriated from Sudan, where he fled to after the bombing of the park. He had filed a counter suit challenging the infringement of his fundamental right by the prosecutor and the court granted his prayer and dismissed the charges against him.
